There are law enforcement distributors. One or a few for each state. Everyone else is downstream as far as blue label guns go. The mom and pop shop or local gun store is not a Glock law enforcement or “blue label” distributor, nor do they usually offer actual blue label pricing. They may be able to get blue label guns, but they don’t get first bite at a production run. That’s for the actual Le distributors.

With overall demand up, I’d be surprised if you didn’t see a decrease in availability at your local shop. Glock was selling them as fast as they could make them before all this craziness. Even the actual LE distributors have been selling out of some models- not because of lack of supply, but because of increased sales.

All Glocks, including blue label, are hard to come by here in Central Florida.

GT Distributors is a major blue label dealer. Visit their website and go to blue label Glocks. Very few available, most are out of stock.

Yup, scarce as hens teeth. I bought the only BL Glock in the display case two weeks ago. It was a G29 in 10mm. I already have a G40MOS so it was a must buy. I’ve never seen a BL 10mm there before.

True, True. The closest BL dealer to me is a couple hours away, then another 3hrs and finally a few 4 hours away. I hit them all a couple weeks ago and BL stock was limited. Saw a G17.4, G23.4, couple G17.5 without FSS and W/ cutout, a G35 and maybe a G21 or G20. I have been looking for a BL G45 MOS for 6 months or so and no luck, and if one popped up, I wasnt going that direction. GT had the G45 MOS pop up this week and I ordered one and mailed my GSSF coupon the same day. They should get it and ship first of the week to my dealer.

Bought a 19X an hour ago at the Parris Island Marine Corp Exchange gun counter. I'm not a fan of the brown/gold color but when they are selling on Gunbroker for crazy prices I wanted to get one.
I guess I am now in the panic buy group? Sad........

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a Blue Label dealer?

If you watch closely, they’re getting some guns in, leftovers when a new production run is released, but they go out of stock almost instantly. I caught the Texas store with a gun in stock and ordered it not too long ago. 3 weeks later, those guns came in stock briefly at their Georgia/Tennessee store.

It isn’t anything really. A blue label distributor is a store with protected territory that actually handles sales directly to law enforcement. Any (any) FFL can be a blue label “dealer”. There is no such designation from Glock. Any shop can order blue label guns, which have restricted sales rules attached to them by Glock.

I spoke to a LGS owner just yesterday and he claimed that among all the manufacturers, Ruger was the worst and Glock a close second on getting inventory out to the distributors during the pandemic.

Because the demand outstretches the supply.

@lrrifleman, didn't take time to read all the posts, but ...
The answers to both your questions are YES.

    1. The supply chain is interrupted - guns and ammo harder to get, but LEO's have priorities.
    2. Just get in line and order and wait - and get what you would like provided you don't get bumped by Law Enforcement.

I held for about an hour to place a back order for a G33.4.
GT Distributors had an ON-FILE P.O. for G33's from Glock.
When and if they get delivery, I may get one IF I am not too far down the list.
Supposed to happen any day now. Wish me luck.

    Yep.
Get on the phone, be prepared to wait, place your back order, then cross your fingers.

I was able to get a blue label 19 Gen 5 MOS today. They had the one 19 and a couple 45 MOS in stock. That is my blue label limit of two until next year. I got a 17 last month.

Next year I will get the 23 and 22 Gen 5’s if they are released by then.

Not true. Not all dealers can sell or purchase blue label inventory from Law Enforcement wholesalers. GLOCK approves/denies request depending on the need in any area. The dealer locator on the GLOCK site will show you which dealers are approved for blue label.
