Has anyone tried both the 1-6x and 1-8x Primary Arms ACSS scopes?

I guess the 1-8x actually is about 1.5 ounces lighter and slightly smaller than the 1-6x. Sounds like a no-brainer then right? But apparently the eye box is shorter/smaller on the 1-8x.

Would like to hear from anyone that has seen and tried both.

Yes I did, thanks. That video is basically what prompted me to get some other opinions, lol.

My current thinking is that since the ACSS reticle requires full zoom to be useful for the ranging and such the 1-6 may be more practical unless you're talking extreme ranges. I can live with the extra 1.5 ounces. Either way, the day after I buy one PA will come out with the next gen.

1x6 is a good power range to have. I use a 1x6 power scope on my 7.62 AR.

The final determining factor would be clarity and brightness. Some of the lower power scope work better than higher power scopes because the image is so much clearer.

    EDIT:
I should clarify that my scope is a Ziess Diavari 1x6 so clarity is exceptional. People who have shot my rifle with that scope have said they have a better sight picture than their scopes with higher power.

I've only used the 1-6x. Had two. The clarity of the first one at 6x was pretty bad, and the second wasn't much better. Cheap scopes are cheap for a reason.

I have a Steiner 1-5 that I really like. Crystal clear, red dot, and it has markings out to 600 yards for 5.56.

The Steiner P4Xi looks good. Sharp clarity around the edges, a lot of scopes have trouble with that. I also like the one click off positions on the illumination dial, every scope should have that.
