"And, as a single-action pistol, it is unsafe for 95% of its users to carry." Really? Something tells me this is a made up stat.:whistling:

He is very opinionated and talks as if he is "right" about everything he says.
    He is not!
Everything he says is a generalization of sorts that can be said of all guns.
No design is perfect including Glocks.
Can you take a Glock apart without a 3/32" punch? Or some kind of "tool"?
I carry a G21 so it proves that the 1911, which I carried for close to 30 years, is NOT too big to carry.
    Another of his mistaken opinions.
I have $600.00 1911's that are totally reliable and accurate right out of the box.
So his opinion on that is wrong.
Can we compare the older models that were not designed to feed hollow points as a basis for saying all 1911's are out dated?
Only a close minded person who does not want to say anything good about the 1911 would do that.
I suppose he would say that compared to a modern engine the Small Block Chevy is an out dated engine that serves no purpose in a modern world.
I wonder if he would be willing to stand about 25 yards away from me and an older 1911 that only shot FMJ rounds???
Chances are it would not fire... :)
I laugh at people who think they are so important that their opinions actually matter to anyone.
Especially when they are made out of ignorance of facts like his are.

It's not any worse than what's going on in the General Firearms section here right now.

    100 year old 1911: POS

65 year old AK: epitome of firearm design

I think everyone is entitled to thier opinion but this guy is trying to pass his opinion off as fact, for credibility he needs to back his up with fact which he can't because the facts point the other way.

Don't get me wrong...for what it is at it's pricepoint, the Glock pistol is great. But the nutjobs will do their damndest to convince you otherwise. I wasn't overly impressed with it or fanatical when I owned one. To me, HK is much closer to polymer perfection compared to that ugly gun from Austria.

    "Glock Perfection"?
If they were so perfect why has Gaston seen the need for 4 generations of guns?
Did they finally get it right with Gen 4?
    I like Glocks (I own a G34, G35 and a G23) but they are not "PERFECTION".
Neither are my 229R, TRP, RIA 9mm or M85... but SIG, SA, RIA and Taurus don't claim they are perfect either.
Just my $.02 for whatever it's worth.
