84 YEARS OLD today
Which means it's time to retire.
Julius Caesar was assassinated 2061 years ago today. It began the destruction of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire.
I guess we should still "Beware the Ides of March."
84 is the new 74?
Poor old battleaxe has to figure out some way to make it to 88 so her successor might be nominated by a democrat.
She is generally viewed as belonging to the liberal wing of the Court.
Before becoming a judge, Ginsburg spent a considerable portion of her legal career as an advocate for the advancement of women's rights as a constitutional principle.
“I don’t know how many meetings I attended in the ’60s and the ’70s, where I would say something, and I thought it was a pretty good idea. Then somebody else would say exactly what I said. Then people would become alert to it, respond to it. It can happen even in the conferences in the court. When I will say something — and I don’t think I’m a confused speaker — and it isn’t until somebody else says it that everyone will focus on the point.”
Liberal wishes won't stop the Grim Reaper.
Reba McIntyre ..."is it over yet??""
She must be a decent person if someone with polar opposite views like Scalia could be such good friends with her.
Scalias excellence in being an example of his knowledge of constitutional law, IMHO, as well as his adherence thereto, in NO way showcases her majesty's grace
Funny... She doesn't look a day over 127.
Gaston Glock is 85 and has a young wife and flies his own private jet.
I disagree. That shows that HE was a decent person, not her.
Friendships a two way street. Could it be possible they both were decent people?
I thought she said if Trump won she was going to retire and move to New Zealand with her husband. What is she waiting for?
Yeah maybe, but as they say, only the good die young.
Holy crap! She's married??? I guess she snuck by the seeing eye dog.
In a word, no. Decent people don't try to undermine and subvert the US Constitution when they have sworn an oath to uphold it. She may be friendly and outgoing and even pleasant to be around but that doesn't necessarily make her a decent person.
In the interview with the NY Times where Ginsburg said it Trump was elected she'd move to New Zealand, Ginsburg said that she dreamed of overturning the Heller decision which confirmed that the right to keep and bear arms was an individual and not a collective right.
Maybe they won't take her. When my brother went to live there for a year, he had to have a physical and send the results to get a visa. Oh no, they are keeping immigrants out for bad health..that can't be legal.
