I've been happy in Louisiana for 27 years. Left Ohio (#44) at age 18 and never looked back. Everytime I visit family in OH, I'm glad I've left. A beautiful state, but there's nothin' like southern hospitality.

Damn straight...they're all Southern states.

Matter of fact, the lowest Southern state on the list is Virginia at #28.

Well, they included DC...as if we didn't know that one would be near the end of the list.

Anyway, congrats to those in the top 10.

Quite content here in NY! :)

Never did need a list to validate how *I* feel, or should feel.

In other news, the highest percentage of bare-faced liars were found in NY (#1), and LA (#2). Go figure.

Invaded and occupied repeatedly by damnyankees since 1861.

Also, Virginia is the geographically least southern state in the South, thrust like a dagger into Yankeeland with Robert E. Lee's former estate overlooking the Belly of the Beast (DC).

Gee, looking at the entire happiness list, where are the most pro-union and therefore pro-Obama states?

Towards the bottom, because unions cause unhappiness. They require it.

I confessed for 20+ years that I would live here one day. How many years...watching the weather report...WA will be rainy and ****ty today (again)...but Az will just be hot and dry and we'll repeat as necessary...Damn!

I wonder how much higher up GA would have been if Atlanta was excluded from the poll?
