I like them better. They have more of a stippled feel and grip.

 

I just can't make any stick-on grip work and my EDC guns. I'm sporting Hockey tape right now and it seems to be holding up and it comes in rolls so when it starts getting raggedy, I change it out.

 

I use skateboard tape on some pistols. Sandpaper finish, not for the faint at heart.

Does the Hockey tape have a coarse texture?

 

Let us know how it holds up. We’ve never been able to keep any stick on grips on. Finally got the chief to okay having our duty guns stippled and it’s been great.

 

Took them to the range and they are as close to stipple you can get. The grip is aggressive and perfect for EDC and range. I like them much more better than the Talon grips. Was considering stipple, but it’s just too expensive and it voids any warranty on weapon.

Yeah the hockey or athletic tape seems to be the new thing. On my Glocks I've put the Gorilla traction tape, and that's definitely not for the faint of heart. You gotta take it down a good bit with a file, or it will literally rip and abrade your skin like a cheese grater.

 

I've only tried out 3 brands of grips and these handle-it grips have been the best feeling while holding and shooting.
Only a tiny corner has lifted up twice over the years from use. Easy to replace when I choose to and very reasonably priced.

 

I won a free Handle-It grip at a match in April. I’ve been running the standard grip for about 1,500 rounds since then on my G19. I’ve gotten them wet, used them in the very hot south Alabama heat. I like them a lot and even bought a second set for my G44.

They’re not peeling even at corners. It’s aggressive like 80 grit sandpaper. Do take your time with installation. Using a heat gun or hair dryer and gripping them down is essential.

I use a section of bicycle inner tube which enhances grip without adding circumference. Have Talons on a Gen 2 23 and it isn't peeling.

 

Have Talon rubberized grip on my 43x and carry it regularly with no problem. I simply followed the install instructions perfectly and it’s firmly attached.
I also have a Handleit on my carry G19, the texture is very aggressive but doesn’t get stuck on clothing or rub your skin off when CCW.
I really like the handleit grip a lot, it locks your grip in really well and gives really positive attachment to the gun.
