It's not the wand. It's the wizard.

Murderers are the #1 cause of mass murder.

I always wondered the same. Here in NYS you can go and buy a wasr-10 with a thirty rounder but need to get a permit to buy a pistol. I always thought that "AK-47" was more problematic if someone was coming after me. But I'm just a dope.

What is the most commonly type of firearm purchased these days?

News Flash - There are orders of magnitude of accidental deaths involving GM products than Ferraris; conclusion - GM vehicles are deathtraps.

See, this is an interesting opinion.

What I would suggest his argument would be... "Ban handguns because they are the weapon of choice for mass murderers". Then use some sort of argument like "We've banned handguns because they are so deadly, and here "ASSAULT RIFLES" shoot more powerful bullets, etc.. why aren't those banned to?"

It's just another way of working towards a complete ban by the lefties.

I hope some of you folks are really paying attention come November.

    Criminals use weapon type A
    Ban A

Criminals switch to weapon type B
    Ban B

Criminals switch to weapon type C
    Ban C
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
Criminals switch to weapon type Z
    Ban Z

    Now you're safe. . . . if you're a criminal. . . .

I've heard a anti-gun person claim, "If guns don't kill people, then toasters don't toast bread." Of course, they only toast the bread when you "load" it into the toaster, plug it in, and press down on the timer. Logic does escape these folks.

That sums it up. We'll most likely be seeing an NBC report on the "sporks" ban any day now.

If a hand gun were more dangerous then a rifle, why would you need a hand gun to fight your way to a rifle?

The rifle is the answer. The handgun is the way to get the answer.

The writer mentions that Illinois is the only state that doesn't allow its' citizens to carry guns but he forgot to mention how many of those unarmed citizens shot other unarmed citizens. He also didn't compare the murder rates of the two states.
It probably just slipped his mind.

The wand chooses the wizard, Mr. Potter. It's not always clear why. But I think it is clear that we can expect great things from you. After all, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did great things. Terrible! Yes. But great.

One of the things I love about the Harry Potter movies. They advocate open carry and the right to defend ones self. The corrupt ministry of magic tried to ban the art of self defense. They didn't succeed. Good messages in those movies.
