I assume this technique originated with Jelly Bryce? ie no photos of that method before him and then after he became a Federale all of a sudden policia everywhere were doing it. Even Skeeter Skelton demonstrated this technique in a set of photos for I forgot what magazine...

Sketter wrote for Shooting Times as I recall. I think his son writes for the NRA magazine now. Skeeter had quite a gun collection and I remember after he passed his wife sold them off.
