Hamilton Beach Countertop Oven w/Convection & Rotisserie. Need help

    My oven is not working consistently and I am being told $450 to fix it....
    In the mean time I was considering a counter top model for $108 shipped.
    I am concerned that this will be an energy sucker. Difficult to clean.
    Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    We have a 6-slice Cuisinart that is AWESOME!

    We RARELY use our oven. If it fits in the toaster oven, then it gets cooked in there. Much more energy efficient to heat .75 cubic feet vs. 5.2 cu. ft. :)

    I HIGHLY suggest looking @ the Cuisinart model. We have had it for ~8 years and it's still going strong. My parents have the same model after falling in love with ours; I think theirs is ~6 years old.

    Good to hear. My oven is gas and I am thinking this table top oven will be expensive to use for 30 - 45 minutes at a time.:wow:

    I have no idea. I mean...it cycles just like a normal electric oven. How much "oven stuff" do you do? I honestly think I could do without an oven.

    Got a gas grill? Nix the oven altogether and just use the grill. Well...might not work for sweets, but otherwise... Oh, hell -- reckon it'd be hard to replace an oven-type device.

    I don't think you'd notice much difference in the electric bill in the grand scheme of things.

    Like I said, I use the oven and the counter top electric oven will be used heavily 3-4 nights a week. are they easy to clean?

    There's a tray that slides out that catches the stuff. Slide it out and clean it like you would anything else. Wipe it down with a bit of oil (or use a spray) before each use and you'll always have a non-stick surface.

    Again, if we can fit it in that Cuisinart, it goes in there. We've got a sweet true European convection Samsung range, but there's just no need to use it if we don't have to.

    Ronco has those "set it, and forget it" thingamahickees on the cheap. Be sure to hold out for the free gloves and flavor injector.

    FWIW, I think the Ronco sucked. Owned one, and sold it at a yard sale for like $5.00 and was thankful to get that.

    The one I am looking at is;
    Hamilton Beach Counter top Oven w/Convection & Rotisserie Extra Large capacity.
    It will hold two 9 by 12 casserole dishes. I am beginning to think I need to buy one local and decide for myself if it works for me or take it back.

    Just re did appliances and new convection oven is awesome. Knocks 25% off cooking time.

    I have been eying up the same unit. I was thinking on holidays it would be greaet to put my sweet potatoes and green bean casserole at the same time in it in my 9x13's. PLEASE POST BACK IF YOU GET ONE!!:wavey:
