Did anyone attend this shoot? I'm 3 hrs away and wasn't able to go. I believe this would have been the closest shoot to Springfield, MO though. Maybe next time.
Let us know how it went.

We were going today, Saturday, but instead going up Sunday 11th. I will let you know as it will be our first time to a GSSF event since joining last year.
The wife and I shot Saturday and although I had my worst match since 2000(She beat me by 6 sec. It's going to be a long year ) we still had a good time. The weather was unpredictable, sometimes sunny and at times hard heavy rain for shot periods and then light sprinkles, then sunny and hot. We got to see some old friends and meet some new shooters. There seemed to be a lot of first time shooters and that is great.
Good to meet you there!
Ya let her beat ya huh?
That's OK, when Momma's happy, that's a good thing.
Me and Dad shot it yesterday. It was our first time and of course I beat him by 4 seconds It was a lot of fun
My 12 y/o son and I made it up Sunday, he shot well, me not so good. Everyone was very nice, and not much of a crowd compared to Saturday according to the staff. The Glock Armorist from Iowa was there and a super nice guy that spend some time with my Gen 1 and Gen 3 17s.
Thanks for sharing the pictures
Some pics (below) of my son doing what he loves, shooting.
ps. I wish someone would have offered my son a Glock Tshirt !! We got out the door this morning and was driving up when I realized what he was wearing, oh well !!!!
Come on!!! LET me???? I guess I'll LET him say that if he wants!
For the record, he NEVER "lets" me win. I beat him in the first GSSF match we shot in at Hallsville in '98. This now is the 2nd time I've beat him.....and only because he had a bad day and I had a fairly good one!
Hey, I recognize that "bad duck", the guy in the shirt was just as po'd as the duck when he missed with his last two shots and left two plates standing in Heavy metal.
Nice to see you again Butch. I finally got on the road at 2:30 and the trip went well considering I-29 was closed. I took 75 home and it was a much better road than the way I came. Someplace in Kansas I noticed that I had a warning light come on. It was a bulb error, which I was informed by the nice Cass County Sherriff that it meant my headlight was out.
I think this was my last match for the year, It wasn't my best, but I did hit some small personal bests, now I just have to tie them all together. I'll see you next year in Grand Island. Good luck to you in Conyers.
HAH! I love it!
And that's why I haven't really gotten into Heavy Metal yet..... I HATE the idea of leaving a plate standing.....I wouldn't be able to look at my own T-shirt.
Bummer! How bout Milwaukee? That's not *too* far, a day trip for us...come on up, you can ride over with us!
Thanks! I expect I'll need it! This has not been a good year for practice time...I suspect that most of my practice for Conyers just took place yesterday at the Green Valley club!
I have few more pics similar to the one's I posted, but the RO was more in the way, send me an Email if you want them.
Wish I could go to Milwaukee, my niece lives in Beloit WI, right on the way and my wife would love to go play with the new baby. I normally work a 4 on 4 off schedule and both Conyers and Milwaukee fit perfectly until my co-worker decided to take two weeks vacation to close his cabin in northern MN. Losing out on 24 hrs the first week and 24 hrs. the second at 1 1/2x OT pay would make the trip too expensive. But believe me I was trying to figure out something. Maybe next time, thanks for the offer.
