Now that the recovery of live victims is over it has become a body recovery from here on out who is going to do this recovery and rebuild of this country?

They don't have the funds to restore the infrastructure, to do the body recovery, where do we draw a line in the sand, or are we going to do all of this for them, I say it's time for good ole uncle Sam to pull the plug,

We already have a stream of Haitians pouring into this country, guess who gets to support them, US the taxpayers, enough is enough already
    Regards

I think you are preaching to the choir, cuz. Since Haiti is a former French colony, I would think they would contribute the lion's share of the work and expenses.

Former is the key word, as in not their problem anymore, they being the French.

There will be no line in the sand. The US will rebuild Haiti, and for every dollar we send, 75 cents will go into the pocket of a corrupt politician- just like it always has.

We should all donate a lot of cardboard so they can rebuild.

ah yes, post #5, the first jackass shows up in a Haiti post. Thankfully most of America is not like you.

We can either help with the rebuild, put some of our people to work
....or bring even more of them here. I like the first idea better.

It is time to leave Haiti and send them a get well soon card.

But that is the extent of what we can do. We have our own problems.

I'm angry that those claiming to be humanitarians, ain't. I didn't care about Haiti last month, and I won't next month, and they won't either. So stop lying to me, if somebody could find the handle Haiti needs a good flushing.

If anybody REALLY has humanitarian impulses, take over and run it like a country instead of a reservation for feral savages. Oh no, that'd be a COMMITMENT, the lying thieves have no intention of such onerous duty, nor make any pretense of it.

I'm not angy with the fraction of humanitarians who were already trying to repair the system with no help, just the vast preponderance who are getting 'good press' at the expense of ACTUALLY CHANGING THINGS.

No, I ain't from Haiti, but can I understand the mad they got for the obstructionism, waste, fraud, and theft? Darn skippy. You might not want to give them aid, but once it HAS been given, stealing it sucks. And it happens mostly with the connivance of bureaucrats on both sides.

I'd embargo the place and not let a politician escape for a decade. Half the country would starve and the other half would hang a BUNCH of corrupt SOBs. And they'd build a country from scratch, like any country that survives HAS to be.

You can't make a gift out of it.

How much has USA given compared to other countries?

I don't really like the idea of them coming over here...My main concern would be the kids though...

I say they set up shop in some other country...after watching District 9 it seems like S. Africa could deal with it.

The French help out with that and we didn't do any favors when we sent the Marines in.

Haiti will always be a toilet.

They have no hope, because they have nothing to offer the world. No resources, no goods to trade.

Remember what they say about learning from history? Look at their history and how far they've come. You'll understand.

    I'm sorry....:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Pretty much THIS. Some things are so FUBAR that without change from within, you can't really make a dent in it. I hurt for the children. They are the innocents here. The adults...not so much. Stand up and take some control of the maggots that are ruining your country. Establish a legit government...help yourselves some. I know, heartless...but criminently...take some responsibility for making your country livable.
