This is a picture, from the US national weather service Amarillo TX, of the hail that we received in Potter Co, TX last night.

Still, that doesn't look like hail. That looks like old snow near a free-way, covered in soot/dirt.....melting and re-freezing repeatedly. I'd bet that picture is a hoax or photo-chopped.

Old Snow?:rofl::rofl: It has been in the 80s here for quite a while. Old in TX means 3-4 days old, never lasts longer than that.

    You're not picking-up what I'm putting down.

You're assuming that that photo is at least in some way connected to the area in question.....I'm not.

That picture is of old, dirty, and repeatedly thawed & re-frozen snow, not hail. So, the picture was not even taken in the North Texas area.

That is, unless someone is going to drop some knowledge and explain how fresh hail looks like dirty snow.

Google it, look it up, I was here and still am. The Canadian is overflowing severely with the hail melting today.

I didn't take that picture, and have no ties to it, but there were 3-4' drifts, I saw them with my own peepers.

Do you ever get tired of being wrong, but still arguing no matter what? Hell I even joked about this being photoshop in the other thread, but it is pretty clearly hail.

Are you retarded? Chances are there were strong winds. I would bet Texas can get kinda dusty too. Can you see where I am going with this?

I've told a few people about it, they all call BS. Guess what. I LIVE HERE. I SAW A GOOD PORTION OF THIS, IT'S REAL!

Jesus H. Christ, some people just can't help but make themselves feel smarter by not believing anything, regardless of if it's actually true or not.

Did it look like the picture? All dirty and nasty?

You two need to clam down. I'm expressing my disbelief, you don't need to get all nasty about it. If you want to explain how hail can look like that, go ahead, drop some knowledge, that's great.

Other than that, those pictures look like no hail I've ever seen. Not that I've seen everthing, faaaar from it. Just like nothing I've ever seen before.

Nope. We had hail that covered and looked just like that about two weeks ago in North Missouri.

You know you got a lot of hail when it covers like snow. BTW, there can be some bad tornadoes following some of that.

Simple, the hail does not completely cover the dirt it landed on, but when it lands it picks up dirt and bounces. You really need to get around more.

I don't have any trouble believing it. I used to live in that part of Texas and have seen some strange weather events there. One time we had 6 inches of snow in April. Another time we had an 80 mph sand storm followed by lots and lots of rain.
