While Chris had my Legacy doing a few things along with hardchroming it, I had him replace the FLGR with a GI setup. This required it to stay behind while the new parts were hardchromed and replaced. He took these. Can't wait to get that baby back home. I gotta build a light box too. They are really what you need to take great pics IMO.

No real preference, but it's just something that I've changed out out on a few guns. And haven't ever ordered a gun with a FLGR, that I can remember. Nothing wrong with them. I just prefer the GI setup. :dunno:

    Looks great.

I am not a fan of full-length guide rods either. Different strokes and all.

Thanks, but it's hardchrome. Not stainless. Here's a pic before I sent it off for hardchrome...

    That chrome looks great 2740.

What it does is require the use of a tool to field strip the gun and make money for those who mfg'er flgrs. A 1911 was the first auto pistol I ever bought and it is easy to field strip or detail strip so no need for FLGR.

Good point, I need a couple tools and usually call a neighbor over to help.
