I just installed dawson/warren sights on my glock 19 to start shooting uspsa and I'm shooting low. I had my friend shoot to make sure it wasn't just me. either I ordered the wrong height or my local gunsmith installed them wrong. Is their a glock gunsmith you guys recommend that I can send this to and also do some enhancements to be a little more competitive. Of course I still want total reliability since I will also be using this as my home offense firearm

I seriously doubt your gunsmith failed to correctly install the front sight. It's pretty idiot proof. Any competent smith can file the height down to bring your point of impact up, if the sight is indeed too high. You didn't mention what distance your shooting at, what bullet weight, etc. Before I would cut the front sight, I'd try a few different loads and once I'm set on a load, then make the cut to the sight.

Or you can order a different height front sight. It's a pretty simple mathematical formula, and install it yourself. Yeah, rear sights can be a pain, requiring a sight pusher, but the Dawson front sights even come with a front sight tool.

The formula is here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_sights#Adjusting_for_accuracy

D1 / R1 = D2 / R2

My Warren sights were 3" high, I did the formula, ordered new front sight... bingo.
