Anybody shooting the Gunsite match? I’ll be there both days. Maybe I’ll see some of you GTers at the match or on Whiskey Row.

I am registered to shoot. Not sure if I will shoot Saturday or Sunday- I usually like to shoot Sunday after the staff has ironed out all the wrinkles regarding COF / scoring etc Saturday and there th ends to be a lighter crowd on Sunday

That stuff is usually all sorted out Friday but I agreed the crowds are usually lighter on Sunday.

I was very happy to see gunsite sponsor a match. When I lived back east ( even in the gun owner hell that is NY) there were a ton of matches within driving distance ( several in NY, one in NJ, several in PA and Ohio ) but since I moved to AZ the only ones in a reasonable distance were Tucson and Las Vegas ( now littlefield ) I live about 40 minutes from gunsite so this is pretty handy

I just got home from the Gunsite match and all I can say is wow. Rolling through the gate I felt like I was driving into some kind of shrine! 😂 Saturday was pretty busy but we ran over 200 entries through 2 lanes on 5toG, M and 2 plate racks. Today we had a little over 100 run through and set a new record over last year by 68 guns I think? 318 entries total for the match. We had great support from the Young Marines and the kids really helped keep things moving.

They had a BBQ team there making breakfast & lunch and the food was every bit of awesome. You missed out Professor! 😂

Lew put on a great match and really took care of his staff as well as the shooters if anything came up. The GSSF crew of Fred, Austin (I'm just the Armorer! 😂) and Steve did a great job as well.

My shooting was mediocre with a couple really good strings like the 2.73 in Unlimited but was offset by a bunch of mid 4s. 🤦‍♂️ Leaving a plate up in HM was just plain dumb.

Anyway, I can't wait to see you all at the range. 😎

Yeah, bad as I did I still "smoked" you! Over a whole second! :LOL: :LOL: :LOL: Just mess'n.

Consistency was my nemesis again. Someday I will get there. I need to learn how to shoot my G17 without 20+ seconds in penalties. 🤦‍♂️

G37, handloads, 200 grain Blue SWCs with TiteGroup. I had a bad mag and didn’t pay attention to which one it was and got to enjoy the malfs on two stages.

I only shot my G17 at Gunsite match, should have taken my G21 as well, it is a gen 4 G21 I shoot-factory hard ball
