What gun have you wanted or bought because you saw it in a movie or TV?

I'll confess I'm looking for a GL 34 or GL 35 since watched "Man on Fire" with Denzel Washington. And I want a two tone 1911A1 like the Colt/Detonics built in T2.

A buddy of mine loves movie guns. He has normal ones like a Garand from Band of Brothers and an FAL from Heat. He also gets a little eccentric with some of them. He got a COP after seeing it in Bad Boys and one of the Matrix sequels. He also had a Calico after seeing it in something I can't remember. I never understood it myself.

    H&K USP.45acp from Collateral.

I traded in 2 pistols that hadn't seen the light of day in a while. I didn't miss them.

Some guns in the movies are easily obtainable, if you have a source and the cash. But in a fantasy world, I would have to say the "rail gun" in the movie Eraser.

    Talk about blastin some 'things'.

    I confess--

Walther PPK (yes, because of Bond)
S&W Model 29 (yes, because of Callahan)
Colt Single Action Army (just because)

I have had the lust for a long time, but could never afford one of those. I also have it bad for a cut down pump shotgun because of the same show.

It wouldn't be right on this forum if someone didn't mention Tommy Lee Jones in US Marshalls. "Get rid of that nickel plated sissy pistol and get yourself a glock."

How about the modified rifle turned into a quick draw lever action pistol in "Wanted: Dead or Alive"

I saw an early 1970s movie while in Jr High School called Scorpio that had Burt Lancaster and a French actor named Alain Delon who was total bad*** in the movie. At one point in the movie Delon checks into a Hotel after killing two bad guys and field stripped his 1911 like he knew what he was doing. Seeing that field strip sequence probably planted the seed for me to get my first 1911 in late 1982 at age 23 about a year after my USN EAOS date. Here are my four 1911s, top to bottom : Les Baer TRS, Kimber TLE/RL II, Kimber Custom II and Kimber Ultra CDP II.
