Guns and duty, once the combat tour ends

    Yep, I've had that dream. Oddly enough, I have had "the police dream" about guns, that many, many police officers have, when I was a cop, and I've had "the military dream" that he describes, and they are both different and depend on what you are doing at the time. That seems strange.

    Not a dream I can relate to, but I understand it.

    I have had days where I photographed for nearly 16 hours straight, 3-4 days in a row. I would go to bed dreaming about still photographing. I have even dreamed about dropping my camera and punching my headboard "reaching" out to catch it.

    When I left Afghanistan and got to a place where I did not need my weapons anymore every once in awhile when I would get up from chow I would look for my weapon. It just becomes ingrained in you.

    As for photos I am sure I have thought I was still taking photos in my dreams after a full day of taking photos.
