It makes me wonder if this is the same guy who posed on GT as Patrick OHerron from Stowe VT. If you file a complaint with the St Albans VT PD, Tom, have the investigator contact Officer Loren Thresher of the Stowe VT PD. Maybe they can compare notes and come up with something.

    G23 mag ripoff thread:

    Good luck.

I am in Vermont...Stowe is a good 1 1/2 hours from St Albans....but I looked in the phone book for Jim Murphy, there is a J Murphy address:
    1A Best Ct.
    St Albans, VT
    802-524-9605

a kinda common name but might be him. The local St. Albans PD number is :
    802-524-5994

    hope that helps some.

As for the guy in Stowe I don't have a local phone book for there and seems like you have it covered with the police and all.

It looks like this thread just died out. I wonder if the issue was ever resolved? Be nice to know after the "negative" side was made known, huh?

No I never received the mag or a refund. Check the date of the original posting. On Gunbroker you only have 30 days to post feedback on a seller. After that you are locked out from doing so. He stalled me past the time limit by saying there was a problem with the mail. So each year I bring this thread back to the top. I also send him a letter reminding him of what he is.

I sold on gunhouse.com before Gunbroker got big. I learned that any deal that takes 10 days or more to complete is not going to happen. Serious buyers will have payment to you in that ten day period. Some people can not make it to the bank or Post Office during the week so ten days is just perfect for them.

I used to wait thirty days before posting negative feedback. After a few years I realized that it was a waste of time. Almost all transaction are done in a much shorter time. I then went to 14 days. After a while it was apparent that even that was too long. There are exceptions, most honest buyers will tell me upfront,or even before they bid that there will be a delay. I do not mind waiting on those folks. I hate the ones that hit the buy now button and immediatly email me that they will be out of town for the next few weeks or month or two. These guys even if you hold the item for them they will not buy it because after an extended amount of time they have other more important things to do when they finally get home.
