A friend just got his back. We had a bet. He said less than a year, I said more. I won, 54 weeks.
I have to pick up a few lowers today so I'll let everyone know how it goes. I'm usually less than 5 min
Yup over in Pahrump. My Brother lives there and took me by the place. Took me by Art Bells place also.
I was OK with it until they started the 10 day waiting period.
Off-topic, but I miss the days of Art Bell on C2C.
Apparently everyone didn't get what they needed during the last buying frenzy a couple months ago.
Seafoam deep creep.....for the guys that were talking about gun oil shortages.
Tried to quote his post, but something went wrong.
They still play his old stuff here on Saturday night.."Art Bell, Somewhere In Time". I turn the radio on when I go to bed and maybe hear about 10 minutes of it before nodding off.
Just got back. Took all of 30 seconds for my background check. The pawn shop I went to said they haven't had any problems with checks mgtmy more that a few min. Pistol selection was low, they said sales have been way up and no one is pawning any guns. Only buying mostly hand guns
The sad thing is there are not decent training opportunities for new gun owners. Few ranges, fewer classes...
I grew up with gun safety from before I was allowed to touch one. (In the rafters in garage. I couldn’t lift ladder much less...). BB gun. (Older brother got it taken away. I could request it but was not allowed to let him touch it)
But I have seen people who buy a pistol sweep themselves, others with finger on the trigger. Yes I sweep myself with a pistol. Many people think they don’t. Watch then holster IWB. Some dig near 90 degrees, most point at knee, foot in any holster... you can often break ONE rule without harm. Break two....
Well, I mentioned my nephew wanting to buy his first handgun because he’s old enough now, but I hear that my wife’s cousin and my wife’s aunt have both expressed that they want to buy guns. My wife told me they want to know where to buy them. I told her I’m not interested in just giving them the name of a LGS, rather I would want to spend some time with them to talk about it, first. No offense to gun store employees, but I don’t want them to just buy what an employee tells them to buy, and with no instruction or food-for-thought. I’m sure those guys are in a hurry to get to the next customer.
Watch out for this internet crap. Ya got a credit card and you can go off like a crack addict...................... ........ .. ...............still recovering.
background check??? I dont need no stinking background check..
no but for real I dont need to have a BC since my permit date is past a certain cutoff date to bypass that crap.
It comes in waves
The libbies are doing a great job of jump starting the next economic boom.
Still sux but, it does suck much less. Last two guns I bought just handed them my permit and I was on my way. A couple LGS's still want paperwork done.... I shop elsewhere.
I hit up five shops in Tucson including Sportsmans what shop was that? Monday and Tuesday no crowds outside ten to 20 inside however at counters, however only one shop had the Glock i wanted. The last one...SNG.TACT.
Murphys,Hub,Sportsmans,2nd amend,SNG TACTICAL,
and the hole in the wall on River and Orange grove.
I put an old Taurus revolver in a local "sell-it" paper today. I hope to cash in a bit on the buying craze. Never used the gun, it's time to move it down the line.
