So I go to a gun shop today. I have had a 50-50 chance at getting a commando behind the counter.
Several guys open carry. No problem, right? Check out the clerk with a pistol shoved into his waistband. One bend at the waist and out comes a gun on the floor.
I'm never going back. I have bought thousands of dollars of guns and accys there over the years but no more.
BTW, I went there for a gen 4 grip plug. They said they didn't make them yet for gen 4's.

You've obviously been a happy customer before. Let management know before you move on, give them the opportunity to correct the situation.

I'd be more concerned about forcibly removing the family jewels than in dropping it in that position, lol. In all seriousness, though, one guy carrying like that is enough to say "I'll never come back" after "thousands of dollars" of purchases?

As Patton once said... "only a pimp in a cheap New Orleans cathouse would carry a pearl handled revolver".

No matter the pistol/revolver... I never carried where the thing was aimed at my junk.

I have been a quiet customer before. Not happy. They just have had a good selection. The management doesn't care. The gunsmith is arrogant and staff turnover is high. I have been happy with only two clerks. Only one is still there. I have been muzzle swept, handed uncleared weapons and been ignored at the counter by some staff.
    Its not worth it anymore.

Ahh, as Paul Harvey would say, "and now, for the rest of the story." Makes a lot more sense now, and I fully understand how that goes. I've got a few of those places on my list as well.

Well that seems to me to be a self correcting problem. It should fix itself pretty soon.

I wasn't trying so much to complain about the store as the tomfoolery of a clerk. Sorry.

I think we can all relate to having dealt with some idiot at a gun store story. The one I still get annoyed at after all these years are the one's who say Glocks have no safeties :brickwall::faint::brickwall:

So the guy buying an unnecessary grip plug is annoyed because somebody doesn't carry the way he prefers? :whistling:

Is that really how he carried it? Sometimes When I get real busy behind the counter and I have a gun out for whatever reason, instead of going across the store to put it back or leaving it out on the counter I will stick it in my pocket or waistband just for the time being. Could be he was doing the same thing.

Either way I don't see how it should matter to you.

Nope. The guy who likes safety and professionalism also likes a cleanly finished glock. Heh-heh-heh

Seriously, safety first. No holster, just shoved in the waistband.

    Yes that's correct.
I didn't bash the store by name or location. Although it would be of no surprise.

Ahhhh I just reread your post. The store is well known for poor attitude and weapon handling etiquette. The lack of safety, lack of knowledge and often lack of customer service was finally enough today.

    No outrage. Just another observation.
If you carry like this, please, don't.
