I have a few Serpa holsters already and they are fantastic holsters!

However, I got one today for my Sig SP2022 and the gun sort of wobbles around in the holster. To be clear, the gun IS secure...it's not coming out unless I hit the button. However, none of my other guns wiggle at all in the holster.

I tried using the tension screw but that affected the draw weight, not just the wobbling.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas on fixing the issue?

    Thanks!

Take it back. We've never had one that let the gun wobble. If I wanted that I'd get a fobus.

    Take it back, really?

To look at it there are no abnormalities or anything...can't anything be done short of taking it back?

Only reason I hesitate is because I ordered this offline...that means paperwork, shipping, waiting, etc. Now if need be, absolutely I'll do it. But I'd like to know if there is anything I could try first.

    Thanks!

Contact BlackHawk Tell em whatcha got chances are they'll ask you to send it back to em they'll send you a new one and chances are send some extra "Goodies" along with it .. atleast that was my experience. They couldnt explain why it had any wobble in it .. but they took care of it ! I reckon reguardless of how good of Q/C you got a bad one slipd through the cracks once in a great while... Oh and the turn around time .. was like a week sent out on a Wed. got new package on the next Thurs

Oh ok, so this does happen with Serpas then? I just figured I could adjust or alter it to fix it.

    I'll give Blackhawk! a call.

    Thanks!

Alright, I just got off the phone with Tammy over at Blackhawk. She said that she is going to send me some springs and some plastic piece and that most likely installing it will get rid of any play.

She said that there was an older version made that either had weak or no tension rail springs and this should solve the issue. She said if there are any further problems to let her know asap and we'd go from there.

Sounds good, so far. I'll give the springs a try!

    Thanks for the info.

My Glock Serpa is tight, but my Beretta one moves a little. Like you said, still in there secure, but gun has a millimeter of travel in the thing. Let us know how the 'fix' works. I never worried about mine. Been a year now with no problems besides a little wobble.

I wouldn't have cared either. This is only going to be a range holster. But my concern was if the retention mechanism failed.

    I'll keep yall posted!

My Glocks wobble in my Serpa. I thought that was normal.

Only kick in the *** with them is you don't get free shipping unless you spend more than $28 and the Serpas are only $20 and $25...so I order a pair at a time or other incidentals I need.

If it moves around then there is something wrong with it. It sounds like a defect, it happens. You want to wear a holster that your gut is telling you is defective?

No, it's a CQC. Usually I go with a Sportster but for this weapon (sp2022) they don't make one in the Sportster version.
