Gun Discharges in Walmart

Maybe it was a thug and not one of "us". As many as I see on live PD carrying chambered Glocks without holsters, I have to wonder
That's right, let's deny people rights based on the carelessness of a very few. You belong on a Moms Demand Action forum. I rated your article one star, wish I could have taken that lower.
Wow, well I seen this 30 year old or so in Aldi Open Carrying a 45 with Pearl Grips. He was walking like hey check out this new fancy Pearl Handle Gun I have on me. Come on you know that walk, well as I walked past him I said really man you kidding rt. he looked away and said nothing. I guess he just wanted to show off his grips. lol Patheic.
Open carry is all about attention...
The price of freedom is stupid people.
Doesn’t do much to help our already endangered cause here in Virginia...
Guns are scary...not.
Stupid people are scary...yep.
You are way more likely to be killed by a punk in the Walmart parking lot than by an idiot lawful gun owner in the restroom.
This is also why we have threads on how to go #2 in a public restroom without shooting your Willy off.
This is an "article"?
You think someone should go to jail and lose their firearms for life because of an ND and you don't even know the circumstances behind it.
Can’t say I agree with your liberal point of view and I highly doubt you’ll get much support here.
Obviously the guy was an idiot, but what does that have to do with properly trained and careful gun owners? I love how you people like to group everyone together. It’s lame.
It really is difficult to speak out in defense of our rights as gun owners when things happen almost daily to undermine them. I live less than a mile from a KFC that had its drive thru window shot out by a disgruntled patron a few weeks ago.
Are we responsible for criminals and careless dumbasses?
Grow up, and think logically. 130 million gun owners in the U.S., and how many of those incidents happen? Your example is not of the typical gun owner, and he will lose his gun rights anyway.
Yes, and a thoughtless 20 something backed up without looking and banged into an elderly Ladies shopping cart yesterday at the grocery store. Two more feet it would have been the Lady. Your point?
The point is, no one is trying to ban cars, or is trying to make car ownership more difficult/inconvenient. Minor car mishaps don't make the news.
But there are many who would love to see guns restricted and gun ownership greatly curtailed. And the anti-gun media are more than happy to harp on any and all firearm mishaps. Thus giving the general public the impression this sort of thing happens more often than it really does.
We had one here in CO last month where a concealed carrier shot himself in the leg at a mall. Multiple news outlets carried the story, and the antis had a field day with it... "See! This is why no one should carry. They do more harm than good."
Well, I agree open carry in WalMart is anyway.
Well I’m talking about open carry in public places, not the woods of course.
Very well said...
And yet, concealed carry permit/license holders are among the most law abiding citizens. So there is that as a counter to the argument.
There are certain situations where open carry is a deterrent to being victimized. I have known tow truck drivers, people at gun shops, people who work at night in quick shops, or just people out walking at night to open carry.
