I see a lot of posts about holsters but very few about gun belts. What brands do you guys recommend/wear?

I wear a Bianchi belt to hold a G30 in its holster. It works well. Way better than a regular belt. But I can't compare it with any other gun belt. Yet!

I recently ordered another from Bullhide Belts. It hasn't arrived yet, so I can't really say anything about it. The "double leather strip" thing looks more robust, but that just may be marketing hype. I'll know better when I get it.

Anyway, this is what I've got going on. Can't really make a recommendation until I can make some kind of a comparison. And even that's only one man's opinion.

Just realized. The Bullhide Belts thing isn't "two strips of leather". My bad. Brain fart.

    Sorry.

I have 5 true gun belts and my favorites are by The Beltman. I have one in black and one in brown. They are about 3 years old now and show no wear.

www.thebeltman.net He makes some great belts. I have two that I wear every day and they have lasted for a few years now. They are not cheap, but well worth it.

    I have a bullhide belt.
I got it last fall (I think).

It is very nice and makes EDC stable.
One thing though it is thick, and if you used any cellphone holster on this belt, the belt is almost too thick.

Other than that, I am happy with it.

The next one may be a thinner belt for me.

Friend of mine just bought a Bullhide belt. Those are indeed stiff as heck, but they are thick as mentioned above. Great belt though.

I use a 5.11 Operator 1.75inch belt... As long as you get a quality belt it really doesn't matter which brand you get. Just don't cheap out and get crap.

The important thing is to get an actual gunbelt, not a stiff regular belt. Wilderness is about as good as it gets for casual wear.

Mine was made by Gordon Davis at the height of his popularity. I've worn it for 25 years, and although it's faded and battle scarred, it's as good as the day it was made.

http://agcustomgunleather.com/ for me. Al makes a fantastic belt and will make it in pretty much any way that you'd like. I wanted something that was stiff enough to easily support my 5" 1911, a spare mag, a flashlight, and a Leatherman tool. I ended up with a double bullhide belt with a nylon liner and double stitching. This thing is PERFECT! Give Al a call, tell him your needs, and he's sure to come up with a belt that will work for you just as well.
