What is the difference between S.S. and tungsten guide rods. Is either one better? I have read where they are helpful in reducing muzzle flip?

    SS is Stainless Steel.
    Tungsten is heavy metal.
Both rods have an advantage over the factory plastic rod because they will never chip, crack or break. The big advantage is the rod tip is removable allowing you change the spring any time you like.

    Hi JR,

Thanks for the quick reply. I have a 19 and a 26. So the tungsten is a little heavier than the SS? Do they help reduce muzzle flip?

    Thanks again,

    Gary

You can get tungsten for the 19, its not an option for the 26.
I really do not know if the extra weight is worth the money? I guess if you were looking for maximum advantage and did not mind the cost you would be better off with the heavy rod
