    I have a question?

One of the scumbags in my town was arrested at a convenience
store while making a sale (distributing) drugs for profit.

I'll have to be vague because I don't know what he was selling.

Does this constitute a felony. I'd like this piece of work to
lose his rights to own any firearms as he is also a poacher.

Thank's for any help in this matter. :wavey:

How do you know he was selling drugs if you don't know what he was selling?

Seems that you are contradicting yourself?

He will deal it down to a misdemenador don't you watch TV. And if you think a poacher not being allowed to own guns will stop them from poaching....... well it won't.

It depends on how much he had, what drug(s), if he pleads down and so on.

At this point the police aren't talking to me. It's a case under
investigation. Go figure?. I have not the slighest idea of what
    he had. The saga continues.

I know here in Alabama you can have over 2 pounds of MJ, and it is only a misdemeanor. I was told (don't know if it's true) that if you sell one pin joint, it is a felony.

Some local papers will print stuff like:

June 21, 2000-- Drugs— Ward Bouslough, 31, of 17000 Meadows Road, White City. Medford police arrested Bouslough Tuesday and charged him with possession of amphetamine. He was lodged on $5,000 bail in the Jackson County Jail.

I could see them labeling the crime "distribution" while leaving out the substance.

eta: Never mind. Part of Al's post (#4) got quoted. He talked to police.

In my state selling any illegal drug is a felony, even weed. But, drug cases are almost always plead down. He would probably get hit harder if he got caught by a warden hunting at night. Seriously.
