How often are they held and where?
GSSF has two types of matches: the regular, outdoor matches; indoor matches. The indoor matches are a series of three matches at the same range.
There are 27 outdoor (GSSF) matches scheduled for the continental United States each year. Each GSSF match draws about 325 entries. The 14th GSSF match of the season was just held at Long Island this past weekend. The indoor (GSL) matches are scheduled at local ranges willing to host the series. The official GSSF web site is www.gssfonline.com
There is a GSSF Forum here on Glocktalk.
Thanks for the replies. Looks like the nearest one to me is Piru, CA.
If I will not join the match do I need to pay the entrance and how much?
There is no fee to watch the match, but you do need eye and ear protection. Only members may compete in the match. You may both join and register at the match.
I got my GSSF application form from Smyrna together with the annual, catalog and manual. I will mail the form with the check next week. BTW, woulsd the counting for full year membership start on the date the I signed up? Or is there a cut-off where everyone must pay again the membership?
Is there a Glock that I could rent at the match so I could participate? Please excuse my non-ending questions.
Memberships run 1 year from when you sign up. There are no rental guns at any of the matches I attend.
Could a non-member also watch the conmpetition?
Vega - you sure can if as long as you sign the release.
