Who has shot one of these and how was it? Do you have to shoot both days or either day? How many rounds will I need? I am thinking about shooting my first one in June but have never seen one.

It takes about a 1/2 day to shoot the match, you can go either day.

Max rounds is 107, I typically bring 150-200 per gun I am going to shoot. You may want to warm or up or have a reshoot.

also www.gssfonline.com has lots of info as well as the GSSF forum here.

Check out the GSSF forum below for lots of good and friendly advice. The GSSF is like an extended family - a great bunch of folks. It's like non-competitive competition.

I have shot several matches, and they're really fun!

You can shoot either day. A typical match for me takes on average about 3 hours start to finish. I finished Lexington in 25 minutes, however Ft. Benning took 5 hours but was still loads of fun. More if you like to BS or watch the real shooters shoot.

Ammo requirement? About 150 rounds per division. Double that for warm-ups, or reshoots if necessary just to be safe.

All you need is a Glock, ammo, a holster or gun rug/bag, glasses, and ear protection. I would recommend 4 magazines to keep from having to re-load at each stage.

Plus, Glock armorers are at every match - free of charge. They can do a safety check, replace any needed parts, and answer any question you might have.

Go to the match, you won't regret it!:)

    it makes any wait easier.

A snack is also a good thing. Sometimes there is food available.

Sometimes vendors with lots of Glock goodies for sale.

Go, watch, meet people, have fun, go to the next one repeat.

I'll be shooting my first GSSF match May 20/21 at www.stcharlessc.com
I've worked the match as an RSO for the past few years and everyone involved seems to have fun. It doesn't matter how you shoot, just have a fun day with like minded folks. This year I get to shoot it, since I finally bought a Glock!
