After 12 months you are eligible for the discount. If you are a lifetime member it would make sense that you would be able to get one a year discounted. But wow, how many do you want???lol :)
(did I just say that?)

Well, I need one discount for a Gen4 36 when it comes out.
Then I need one discount for the single stack 9mm when it comes out.
Of course I need one discount for the Glock 1911.
Don't forget the Glock carbine....
There will always be the next new Glock that I've just got to have. LOL

1. How well does your son listen to your advice?

2. By going lifetime, you are supporting a fine organization. You could get a 2 year membership and be gone tomorrow. Life is uncertain. Go for it!

Melissa,

Lifetime members may request one pistol purchase coupon per year, as long as the pistol purchase program is in effect.

For an individual, a lifetime membership ($350) equals 14 years of renewals ($25). I wouldn't even be in the super senior division when the lifetime membership paid for itself. It sounds like a good deal, unless they discontinue the discounted pistol program. Are there any other benefits to being a lifetime member?

Lifetime members get a beautiful plaque to hang on a wall, might still get a special, deluxe cap, and will never miss getting a Glock Annual. I'm 67 and went lifetime in 1999. I feel I've received my money's worth. The pistol purchase program did not exist in 1999.

FWIW, I would be a member even if they didn't offer the discount on a pistol. I enjoy shooting and meeting new people at the matches. As far as lifetime goes, whenever my current membership runs out, I will go lifetime. Don't know when that will be because I keep winning those "darn" 2 year membership renewals as randoms. LOL

That's the hat. It and the mug were first given to Lifetime members at the Ft. Benning match in 2001. You do not get a new hat with every renewal.

Interesting. I never got a plaque, special hat, or mug. I, too, upgraded to lifetime before there was a pistol purchase program. For me, it was entirely a financial decision. I figured I'd be shooting GSSF long enough, that lifetime would eventually be cheaper than yearly renewals.
