I know it's just a BIT early, but for those of you with lots of time on your hands over the winter, you may want to plan your GSSF events for 2004. I have already confirmed with Scott Gilbertson that GSSF will come back to Topton Fish & Game Association on August 14-15, 2004. I'm sure we could handle a 350 entry event if we just get good weather. Put Topton on your 2004 schedule, and I'll see you at the range! Dave Miller, Match Director

    Dave,

    Were you a boy scout?:)

Thanks for the heads up... calendar is marked!

Calendar also marked for your USPSA Area 8 match!

Most of the kinds of matches that are shot have different stages.
Everyone dose 1-2-3-4 and so on.

Glock matches are different in that in addition to 1- 2- 3- there are a-b-c of each stage.

A suggestion for next year is: get the different ranges with the same stage to coordinate with each other. This might help to eliminate people waiting in line at a stage when the other two ranges of the same stage are empty.

We do try to keep the duplicate set-ups of each stage close together. The problem is not having enough people to staff a central scoresheet collection point for each GSSF stage so the shooters can then be routed to the pit with the shortest wait. With enough staff, we will try to do better this year. Thanks!

Where is Topton in regards to Erie PA? I used to shoot USPSA in Brookville and East Huntington before relocating to Erie. Always wanted to try GSSF. Thanks

Topton is at the opposite end of the state, near Allentown, but well worth the drive.

I was shooting with them alot about 3 years ago, since I moved up here my weekend time is very limited and regretfully I haven't shot with them for a while. But yeah I know Fred, Larry, Chris and the whole gang. Bunch of good guys. Have you ever shot up here in Erie? I think the club name is Eagles nest. There is another one over near Findley lake, can't recall the name though.

You're the best Dave. Now if we could just convince you to host and run the A8 for the next three years ....
