Give it another week before you hit the panic button. The GSSF staff is very, very small in numbers. Add in holiday time off, comp time off during the holidays, pistol certificate requests and hundreds of others ahead of you awaiting membership and membership renewals, and you might better appreciate the delay. On a good day, all four GSSF employees are on hand, but at least half of them will be at the upcoming Shot Show and Vegas GSSF match.

Just chiming in...I sent my application in about 2 months ago, and they hit my credit card about 3 weeks ago.

I have yet to receive a membership card/package; but I'm not in any hurry, just curious.

Faxed in application with credit card # around the end of November. They charged my credit card just before Xmas. Still no packet. I'm not getting too antsy though. I want to buy a Gen 4 G19 and just read that they won't be available until June or July. Sigh.

I e-mailed my application in on New Year's Day and my card was charged on 1/20. I'm in no rush. I plan on using my certificate to get a G38 but I'll use my G17 at some local GSSF matches.

I emailed my application on 1/14/10 and they just charged my card. Patience is a virtue, but difficult at times :)

It is my understandang that GSSF has a small staff, like 4 people, and three are on the road supervising GSSF matches, processing results, and most recently, helping out at the Shot Show in Vegas. GSSF probably has about 20,000+ active members, so yes, be patient.

I sent mine in on Jan 20th and they billed my card. I'm going to camp out by the mail box. Can't wait to get the 23. Feel like a little kid waiting for Xmas.

I sent in my application Mid January, and they charged my Credit Card at the end of January, but still no package. It is killing me as I have been wanting to pick up a Gen4 17 and start practicing with it, to hopefully shoot my first Glock Match when it comes here in May. Starting to get a little discouraged as it has been almost a month now...

I spoke with a representative from the office and they stated 4-6 weeks processing time. IMO they should put that on the application form. I really didn't care, but it would be nice to know up front so my happy arse isn't sitting outside by the mailbox with a funky grin on my face.

I have never joined or shot at a GSSF match. I want to shoot at the Morganton, NC match in late March. Should I send in my registration now or wait and do it when I get there? If they are as busy as is noted here, I wonder if mine would get processed in time.

    Thanks,
    Chuck

    Chuck,

    1. It would be processed in time.

    2. You may also join at the match, but registration will cost $10.00 more at the match.
