I have a very good question- I am trying to get a straight answer outta this.

I personally like the GSG-5 and would be inclined to try to get a new in box GSG 5 on GunBroker if I got one but I guess I could deal with the GSG 522. (I really really want a PK but NJ is such a pain with the application to get pistol purchase permits etc.). Anyway.

I am wondering: is it true you can easily remove the stock on the GSG and install an "end cap" with the sling swivel on it? Someone told me its easy, you just unscrew the stock and screw the end cap on, it has the swivel attached. Also was told the actual end cap is cheap like $20 bucks.

See I wouldn't buy the HK one because of that stock, the collapsing MP5 one- i hate the way it looks and imagine I would hate the way it feels/shoots even more. Also collapsing stocks of any/all kind are illegal in Jersey so not a chance anyway.

But I love MP5s with the full stock, I have shot them twice in Vegas, amazing. But woud LOVE the capability of putting that sling connection end cap on .

So what is the truth, it can be done and the parts are out there or not? Thnaks much.

Did you do the screw upgrade on it? If not from everyting I read it seems like a good idea. I did my GSG-5P and it was not that hard. Just pulled up how to on you tube. But better screws less likely to have problems with the factory soft screws breaking and causing problems.

Is that the B&T stock? Looks nice, I have been wanting to SBR mine bad but hard to justify the $200 to the ATF just to do it. I have just been using a single point sling.

It is a nice host for my suppressor and just a FUN gun to shoot.

Irish Bum Plz tell me about that. What model do you have ? Also how about that end cap and sling mounting piece? Could I get the GSG5/5SD and use that end cap nd sling in place of the stock sometimes ?

I also ordered this screw upgrade after reading about factory screw breaking inside the gun and cracking the bolt. I figured for $15 bucks it was cheap insurance. Looks a little complicated in the pics but really not that bad.

Also in the link above is everything and anything GSG related you could want. If there is anything I missed or anything else you want to know let me know I am more than happy to help.

I've been reading pros and cons about the screw "upgrade" some say its needed and some say just to loctite the originals and that the nut in the upgrade kit is useless because the housing is threaded to begin with. IDK i ordered the pin kit and buffer, while i'm in there i think i'll just loctite everything for now.

Oh yeah I did it cause my at first I was gonna SBR it and if I put that much $ into I figured go a head and get it. I also did the pin kit and buffer. I'm sure loc-tite will work just fine. I do like the look of your though.
