When hadling a typical 1911 with a flat mainspring housing, I feel that the gun is a tad too big. I like to have the grip in line with my forearm/elbow--you know the proper way to hold the gun. I tend to have trouble getting my finger on the trigger properly. Anyway, just thought I would ask those that are highly experienced in these matters a basic question. For those of you with smaller than average hands. Which feels/fits you better, using standard thickness grips and going with a short trigger, or, use the long trigger and go with thin/slim grips? I know everyone is different, just interested in some opinions.
