I bought a pile of G19 mags before I tried out a G19. Got them for a really good price. I discovered that the finger bumps on the G19 do not fit my hand. But I love the size of the G19 and want one. I already have a G17 that fits my hand quite nicely. So the question is, Would you grip chop your G17 to a G19 size? Or would you buy a G19 and remove the finger bumps?

It really depends on what you want. Chopping the G17 will be a little less expensive than picking up a G19 and having the finger humps removed. You will also have a pistol that is semi custom. On the other hand the G19 is a fine weapon, and you can't go wrong with one. If you have ever considered selling the 17, chopping it is going to limit the buyers for it. You could always chop the 17, then pick yourself up a G19 later. I like them both...:wavey: TXPO

If the G17 fits your hand quite nicely, why would you monkey with it? I would either have cold bore modify the 19 or try out a Gen. 4 19.

Some wet and dry paper, masking tape and a little patience will remove the finger humps on your 19. I did it on my 26. The result was a more comfortable grip.

I then installed a set of rubber Talon grips.
