Yeah I'm not sure the attraction to them either. I've seen a few other makes in that color too, and I just find them disgusting. Glock just needs to keep it simple on the colors and stick with black or stainless!!

I disagree; Black only, the finish on the slide is more corrosion resistant than stainless steel, no need for it.

Don't take me wrong here...I'm pro "black only" but if we MUST have a color variance, I'd much rather see it be stainless vs. green puke.

Glock should follow Henry Ford's proven formula for success and make Glocks available in any color.....as long as it's Black.

I like the different colors, thought about having it done myself, if I wasn't afraid of the gun being more susptible to corrosion. The different color schemes give the gun more attitude. It looks cool. I thought about having an urban cammo design done on mine, but am holding off on it for now.~2

For what it's worth, I think the green frame and the black slide just doesn't look right. Keep mine black.

Personaly, I think they should make the blue and red receivers available to anyone. That way I could match my IPSC rig.

Hmmm...actually it might be kind of cool if Glock produced a red, white and blue one done in the image of our flag so we get stars and stripes, and make it a tribute to 9/11. Definitely wouldn't be a daily shooter, but would make a cool collectors piece. Of course, I'm very patriotic...and dang proud of it!

    ;? ;? ;?

Hehe, and RiverVan please tell me you caught up on the sarcasm in my post about the pink Glock. I can only hope things NEVER go that far!

I had a female co-worker who was a medically retired cop.

Her home defense gun was a lime green Springfield 1911. Her coment was if any guy broke into her house she wanted to see him laughing at her when she pulled the trigger.

I think OD Green Glock would be very nice if you had to work uniformed patrol in a hot sunny environment like the desert. Anything black in the bright sun gets hot. How would you like to reach for your trusty Glock and get your hands burned?

I'll bet that color was requested by the Saudi's.

A guy at the club carries a G19 in this color config. I have to admit it looks different and a bit strange to me but hey, to each his own. I like the good ol all black busines like look. This new OD color makes it look almost like a "toy" in a way. Plus IMHO it looks kinda ugly. Another guy at the club is buying his G23 in this color config so there must be some interest in it ;Q

Got one of these in the other day in OD green for a customer. I prefer the black G's for myself. It is different though.
