I don't know if it qualifies as a monologue, but Jimmy Stewart giving it to Lionel Barrymore in It's a Wonderful Life is a good one.

Jacob 'Big Jake' McCandles: And now *you* understand. Anything goes wrong, anything at all... your fault, my fault, nobody's fault... it won't matter - I'm gonna blow your head off. No matter what else happens, no matter who gets killed I'm gonna blow your head off.

Crash Davis in "Bull Durham" explaining to Annie Savoy what he believes in.

NSFW and not appropriate to link, but a quick a search on YouTube will bring it right up.

Max: He, he, he fell on the cab. He fell, he fell from up there on the mother****ing cab. ****. I think he's dead.
    Vincent: Good guess.
    Max: You killed him?
Vincent: No, I shot him. Bullets and the fall killed him.

    Field of Dreams:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Terence Mann: Ray, people will come Ray. They'll come to Iowa for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up your driveway not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your door as innocent as children, longing for the past. Of course, we won't mind if you look around, you'll say. It's only $20 per person. They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it: for it is money they have and peace they lack. And they'll walk out to the bleachers; sit in shirtsleeves on a perfect afternoon. They'll find they have reserved seats somewhere along one of the baselines, where they sat when they were children and cheered their heroes. And they'll watch the game and it'll be as if they dipped themselves in magic waters. The memories will be so thick they'll have to brush them away from their faces. People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

Don't know if it qualifies, but is a great reply:

My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next!

one of my favorites dialogs not monologs really is the gas station scene
in "No country for old men",
    Paraphrased-
What's the most you have ever lost in a coin toss?
    Call it.
    excuse me? Call what.
    The coin, call it.
How can I call it I don't know what we are betting on.
    Call it.
    I can't call it.
    Just call it.
But what I am calling it for?
For everything. You are calling it for everything.

The opening scene in Patton was what first came to mind.

I cannot comment on the overall accuracy, but it MUST include the word "friendo" to be worthy of repeating.
