The CZ 82 is a very solid pistol.
Besides the CZ-82 I also have the CZ-83 in .380 Auto. Damn accurate fixed barrel pistols they are!
Great review. I've always been interested, but have yet bought one.
Better design than the Mak, but just like the Mak, not much of a fighting pistol.
Two former Soviet infantrymen I've known's opinion of the Mak was "great for committing suicide or executing prisoners, not much else'. Oddly, both thought the Stechkin (which shoots the same rounds, just 20 in the mag) was awesome.
They were big believers in AKs for fighting.
I have four.....well, three....I gave one to my dad.
shot my friend's CZ82 Saturday. i was impressed with how accurate it was, and overwhelmingly impressed with how far it spit out the empty brass. had to be at least 7 yards out to the 3 o'clock position.
there are some interesting color patterns on gunbroker.com. my daughter wants a purple/black one. go figure!
Big fan of CZ pistols and that CZ 82 apears to be like every other CZ I've ever seen or shot. Built like a tank and very accurate. The CZp01 is on the top of my handgun list but if I can find a good deal on a CZ 82 at one of the local shops I'll certainly grab it up.
Get your C&R FFL and have one sent right to your front door!
It's $30 for three years and worth every penny!!!!
I like mine. Like most CZ's I've held, the ergonomics are great for what they are.
I have long been a CZ fan but I just got my first tryout with an 82 a couple of weeeks ago. It was fantastic and I hope to order at least one in the near future.
These handguns may not have the geegaws of modern Western handguns (beavertail, extended mag release, flared mag well, blah, blah, blah), but they still do the job.
