A local video rental place was liquidating due to reasons unknown and was selling DVD's at $2 each. I scored:

    A Knife In The Water
    La Femme Nikita
    My Life As A Dog
    Downfall
    El Mariachi
    Y Tu Mama Tambien
    The Realm Of The Senses
    The Seven Samurai
    Run Lola Run
    The Nasty Girl
    The Grand Illusion
    Leolo
    The 400 Blows
    The Truimph Of The Will
    Battleship Potemkin
    Olympia
    Seven Beauties
    City Of Women
    The Man Who Loved Women
    Breathless
    Saturday Night, Sunday Morning
    The Bicycle Thief
...and dozens of other classics. For some reason, the "international" section seemed to be untouched. Sad to see a business go, but I think it was an estate issue... HH

I could never get into owning movies. We have a couple dozen. I never watch them.

    I like music/concert DVDs though

The Bicycle Thief is supposed to be one of the great classics. I have not seen it but will.

The last of the Blockbusters in my area have closed.

Very nice haul. A local video store around me is closing also. I scored a ton of horror movies, westerns, and action movies that I needed.

Maybe a few of them. Never seen most of them. Almost all of them. Maybe something good there I haven't seen.

The recent "The Pursuit of Happyness" borrowed heavily from "The Bicycle Thief" HH

HH, you have quite the esoteric taste in film. I've seen all of them except Leolo. Hadn't even heard of it. Googled it and "a ritual rape of a cat" (even though it is symbolic and seen through the delusions of a very disturbed young boy) is enough to make me never watch it.

    Other than that, great list.

Our Blockbuster was doing the same thing a few weeks back. I got some decent stuff but I cannot recall all of it. I do remember getting both the early and latest version of True Grit and copy of Full Metal Jacket too... and then I scored a LOT of kids movies for my Grandson. Must have gotten 15 or more of those. 3 year old Kids will watch a movie over and over so that really is a score. But they were all like 1.99 each.

My Life as a Dog - wow, havent seen that one in years. Going to have to find my copy now...

Interesting list. I've seen most, but only like a few of them. Great collection though.
