Yep, it's true! I tried this deer hunting last winter and thought I'd share it with everyone. It's fantastic. 1 Medium Head Green Cabbage 1 Large ring Kielbasa or Smoked Sauasge, cut into 3/4" dice. BBQ Sauce of your choice 1 Stick Butter, melted Salt and Pepper Lay the cabbage core side up. Insert the knife about 3" away from the core, angling it toward the cabbage's center. Cut in a circle around the core so you leave a nice deep cone shaped hole where the core was. Rub the cabbage all over with melter butter, salt and pepper. Pour about a cup of BBQ sauce into the cabbage, top with diced sausage and top with more bbq sauce. Heat your grill to high. Make a doughnut out of heavy duty foil to set the cabbage, core side up, on the top rack of your grill. Turn one side of your grill to medium and one side off. Put the cabbage on the off side. This way it'll just bake and not burn. Goes great in an offset smoker too. Let the BBQ season begin!! Cook about 45 minutes to an hour.
