I finally turned in the classifer that will put me at Grand Master.

How many GM's are out there that got their card shooting Glocks?

    - David Sevigny
    - Todd Sindelar
    - Jason Jones
    - Matthew Mink
    - Tom Dean (? I think he made GM with a G20, then switched?)
    - Swede20 (Dave Erickson? with a G20)
    - Rich Redovian (Idaho SC, I think he made it with a G20?)
    - Armando Valdes (Is he still shooting?)
    - Taran Butler
    - Kyle F. (me :) )
    - Tom Freeman (mix of Glock and Steyr)
    - Petros Milionis

I made it in Limited with my (fairly stock) G35.

It took me about four years. Could have come sooner with a bit more dedication and practice. I had been needing that last classifer for quite a while now, and I haven't been practicing much lately (little extra money and short on reloading supplies).

In fact, I almost shot another Division because I thought I was completely out of 40 brass. I luckily found a few pieces of brass in storage the night before the match.

99-12 was the classifier. I shot it at the Indiana State match.

Congratz! I knew you have been close for some time. Now that you have the card, it's just more shooting.

On the SV webpage it says that Taran Butler made GM with a Glock.

Congrats Kyle! How soon before you start making Robbie sweat?

    Flexmoney,

You are my hero... I shoot Limited / Limited 10 with a G21 using factory ammunition (had the highest power factor at the Area 8 championships! 198.7... I guess I shouldn't be all that proud of that!)...

Either way, congrats, and soon I hope to make that list as well!

Edited to say: Well, maybe not all that soon... ;)

Taran Butler attained Grand Master ranking within thirteen months of starting in the I.S.P.C.. He is the only person to accomplish this feat in so short a time with only a standard Glock 21/24 in limited class.

Cool. Thanks BJ. Taran slipped my radar (Must be that SV thing.) I'll add him to the list above.

Oh...Robbie is pretty safe. I did get Phil (and Turtle) in the Shoot-offs at the Buckeye Blast. :) But, Phil crushed me in the match.

    -----

MarkCO, I saw Armondo made the Factory Gun Nationals last year, but wasn't sure if he was still at it this year? Hadn't seen his name pop up.

    -----

Wicked, I used to shoot a lot of Blazer through my G35...made 189+ power factor at the Nationals in 2001. That was plenty hot. Your loads are smokin'!

    ----

    MM and CGR, Thanks guys!

    -----

Raider, I don't think Burkett made GM with a Glock. He seems to be a dedicated SV guy. (As far as I know.

I think Julie Goloski made GM with a Glock too, but I may be wrong.

I could have sworn I saw her with a higher classification at another state match....I'm probably wrong due to sleep deprivation.

About half my classifiers were with a Steyr M-9 and the others were with a G-17 and a G-34. I think there is a Beretta M-9 thrown in there.

Dean Williams is shooting a Sig in 357 using Air Marshal duty ammo. Spicy stuff.

It took me a lot longer to make GM than I had thought. Spending a lot of late 2001 and a good portion of 2002 overseas playing war took its toll on my training. This year has been even worse for traveling and training.
