Some varieties of wood, such as oak and maple, are renowned for their strength. But scientists say a simple and inexpensive new process can transform any type of wood into a material stronger than steel, and even some high-tech titanium alloys. Besides taking a star turn in buildings and vehicles, the substance could even be used to make bullet-resistant armor plates.

I burn about a face cord and a half (@14” length) every winter. I’m good for about five years right now.

Interesting stuff. It must take a hella big press to compact it.
not really that hard to rig up a bunch of air over hydraulic jacks with heavy steel plates, but it takes some cash and a bit of dedicated space to set it up.

I sold my poplar. Surprised how much money I made selling a couple of trees..
