First Time I have been this excited about mail in a long time.

I am 96% sure it will be a 26. Gen 3 or 4? I do not know. Help me decide?

My wife and i shot a gen 3 g26 at a rental range this weeked. I liked it. She did not. A bit snappy. She shot it well, though, until a case fell into the gap between her eyeglasses and cheek. It burned her pretty badly. A blister , a half circle, and some tears later and she wanted nothing to do with it.

It was raining shells into our foreheads and ontop of our heads the whole time. Slightly (actually more than slightly) disappointing.

    So anyway, what now ?

I just got one of my 'free' Glocks last week - a Gen4 G26. I've been borrowing a friend's G4 G26 for several GSSF matches and liked it a lot, so finally ordered my own. On my friend's G26 I installed the minus connector and polished up the trigger group and I rather like the trigger. I shot my best stock time at Dawsonville with that G26 - better than I did in Master Stock or Comp with the G17 Gen3. I didn't start out that way and at first shot the 26 poorly. Now... I almost like that short sight radius for some reason.

I've had no extraction problems or brass to the head with the G4 Gen 26 using factory or my powder puff reloads of late. Most of my brass on my reloads for my 9 mils now falls out of the ejection port and onto the ground next to me.

    It's a neat little gun!

BTW, my new Gen 4 came with the (.) connector, but I'll replace it with the (-).

Congrats on the certificate! FWIW, I just broke the 1,000 round count on my gen4 26 at Dawsonville this weekend and I haven't been hit by ANY brass (that includes some reloads that are minimum in the reloading manual).

It's kinda funny because all 3 gen4 26 's I've shot all ran perfect, while I have a nice little scar from the single gen3 26 I've shot.

I would definitely go with the gen4 26.

    I love Glock mail

I never got any thing bad from a Glock envelope.

As for your purchase. I also have been shooting a G26 in subcompact and would upgrade my present G26 to a newer G264 or a G174

I love getting 1099's! At least until the taxes total 100% it means I am still ahead in the game.

My tax guy says it's perfectly legal to deduct match expenses up to the amount of winnings - so I do. I spend 10 times what I win each year and if I won a gun at every single match I would still be in the hole. It still beats what I win at every other competition I shoot - nothing, ever!

I don't see the new Gen 4 G30 on that list... Guess I will just need to wait to win one until they add it to the list. :)

    Gen 4 G26 is a good choice.

You may write in ANY Glock that has been introduced and is officially for sale. You must add the Gen 4 (and large frame) upcharges and appropriate tax. I would highlight your write-in Gen 4 info as well.

The Gen 4 20, 29, and 30 are all available with these award certificates. Call GSSF and speak with Donna if you would like to confirm that yourself.

ETA: Don't forget, you'll need a copy of your dealer's FFL that's valid out to 150 days.

Naw, not at all. It's easier to be luckey, than it is skilled. Dawsonville attendance will qualify for 24 random pistols (+ 4 RO pistols), whereas pistols won by amateurs, based on skill and place will only total an absolute max of 8 Glocks.

    Next pistol - G27 Gen 4 or G29 Gen 4? I've never fired a 10mm pistol - I have shot a G23 Gen 4. I'm thinking about replacing my G26 for carry. Any opinions?

10mm all day long. Tons of options as far as bullet weights and power levels. You can download it to .40 levels or go full nuke.

    I LOVE my 29 :wavey:
