Hi All!!!!!! Well, I think I'm a GLCOK convert from the 1911 family! I just picked up my new G19 w/ O.D. Frame and 3 mags. First Hand Observations: 1. Very tight handgun. No slide play or funny rattles. 2. Slide release is too shallow....Impossible to engage slide w/ shooting hand...I couldn't imagine hitting it w/ a sweaty thumb. 3. Mag release is also too shallow to engage while maintaining POA. 4. Magazine release is smooth and free..nice! 5. Field stripping is second to none. Period. 6. Fit and finish are great! 7. Trigger is mushy as all heck....I guess ya have to "shoot through" the whole staging process. 8. Magazines are plastic! I didn't know that! Mine are #5 steel lined. 9. Sights are really nice for plastic stockers! So, in conclusion, I LOVE this darned GLOCK! I have yet to shoot her. I am glad I bought some drop-in mods though. I purchased an extended slide release from Aro-Tek, an extended slide stop (take down release), an extended Mag release, a GLOCK disassembly tool and a 3.5# trigger connector. All of this for UNDER $100 !!!!!! Imagine what that would cost on any custom 1911????!!! Thanks to everyone for their great posts and advice. I'll give a range report this weekend. (I'll be trying out Winchester White Box 124gr.- BTW) Regards, Jay D.
