It's interesting how the really old guns bear the same stamp on the right side of the frame as the brand new guns with frames made in the U.S., i.e. "Glock Inc., Smyrna, GA".

What is the alpha prefix of your G19? I have a two letter prefix G19 MM###.

Just like Sigs...they have both the German label and US label on the same firearm.

Mine is DLxxxUS. Interesting to see that your proof mark is to the rear of the serial number on the slide, and mine is to the front of the serial number on the slide.

I also traded today for a G19 with DLXXXUS with Austrian proofs. I had wanted a used Glock 19 and was surprised to be offered this one with original box, brush, rod and spare magazine.

All the ones we get here come direct from Austria. There is a dealer in Australia but they only sell to Hunting and fishing stores - which, incidentally dont even sell pistols! Pfft!

I got a NIB G19 on Friday with 4 mags and it shoots very well.
Out of all the Glocks I have read reviews on this (G19) and the Glock 20 seem to have the best reviews by owners with the fewest problems out of the box....so the G20 is next on the list!

This is a great forum, so much info!

It's a little off topic, but how "collectable" are gen 2 Austrian guns w/ no import marks?

I just can't seem to put the words Glock and Collectable together...doesn't seem like there is much of a Glock collectible (there I put them together)market...Usually any gun without import marks is much sought after but a Glock  ????
