Well I decided it was time to grow up and get a 1911. I carried a glock 23 for a while and actually shot it really well. But after shooting numerous high end 1911's I decided it was time to change things up. There's just something about that single action trigger, that I love oh so much! I did a lot of research and decided Dan Wesson was the right direction to go for my price range... Boy was I right! I saw this cbob go up on a local forum for $1,220 and pulled the trigger. Got a custom Theis horsehide holster and have some Sarge grips in the works. The sights that the previous owner had on were for IDPA, and while they are great for target shooting, I think I'm going to get the ledge straight 8 night sights. So far I've put 350 rounds down range and I am in complete and utter love. The fit and finish is like virg... well you get the point. The bobtail's ergonomics feel better than almost any gun I've held, with the exception of the cz 75 P-01. So far I've shot Hornady Critical Defense, Atlanta Arms & Ammo, and today, Blazer aluminum cased rounds with out a single malfunction. Here is a target from today. 50 Rounds from 7 yards to 25 yards. As you can see I need to work on my 25 yard grouping, but from 7-15 I made one nice hole.
