    Oh, the irony.........................

The default online source for definitions of words has just altered the historically accurate definition of fascism, just as the Trumphater movement seeks to inaccurately brand the President as a fascist (and by implication therefore another Hitler, worthy of extreme tactics to eliminate). Derek Hunter brought this to light in the Daily Caller:

if you type the word into Google, the definition they provide is quite different.

The world’s largest search engine pins fascism on the political right, not the left.

Google defines fascism as, “an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization.” (emphasis added)

The secondary definition is, “(in general use) extreme right-wing, authoritarian, or intolerant views or practice.”

That’s a striking difference from how the word has been defined for decades.

Most American Thinker readers know perfectly well that fascism amounts to organizing the citizenry and economy into associations of various sorts that collectively represent their groups to the authoritarians at top, and that its promise of putting strong power into the hands of “experts” who would improve society was very attractive to progressives of the earlier parts of the Twentieth century. Jonah Goldberg’s bestselling book Liberal Fascism closed the case.

This will enable political deception on a mass scale. Google is not a public utility and can define words however it wishes. But we are descending into a version of Alice in Wonderland, as re-envisioned by George Orwell.

“When we use a word,” Google said in rather a scornful tone, “it means just what we choose it to mean — neither more nor less.”

Remove the very last line they added.

ETA: It has been used by both left and right through history. Most normal definitions discuss that "after" the definition. The term "right and left" have never been assigned to its meaning, though.

".............. Fascism was influenced by both left and right, conservative and anti-conservative, national and supranational, rational and anti-rational.[39] A number of historians regard fascism as either a revolutionary centrist doctrine, as a doctrine that mixes philosophies of the left and the right, or as both of those things.[40][41] Fascism was founded during World War I by Italian national syndicalists who drew upon left-wing and right-wing political views..................."

Remember, Google has almost 600 million users a month! For those who use it as their dictionary, they now believe it is a construct of Republicans. That was their intent, no matter what they say. It is one of the most liberal, far-left tech company's today!

Figures. Leftists have always had to rewrite history and redefine truth in order to fit their twisted agenda.

Any idiot can look at those synonyms and know that they apply wholly to the left.

It's amazing how easy it is for them to implement. The left controls just about everything now.

The issue is no one questions it, at least no one on the left. They'll just see that definition or any definition or any news story and accept it at face value. Leftists are a godsend for aspiring oppressors and tyrants, the perfect useful idiots.

Historically, Fascism is exclusively an ultra right wing phenomenon. The inventors/basis of Fascism were Nationalists and ultra right wing aficionados. Read a history book about Bennito mussolini.

So, what's wrong with Fascism anyway? It's the perfect blend of Corporate Nationalism where Corporations own and run the government. Corporate Oligarchs decide yer future and who lives and who starves or is worked to death. If you don't work, you die.

    Simple.

They do the Communists bidding in China, Socialist Merkel's bidding in the EU. This is staying with a long established pattern.

Fascism is on the Left. Liberty and personal responsibility are on the Right. Fascism and Marxism are the two primary forms of Socialism, but for decades the Left has told the lie that Fascism is on the Political Right.

The irony is this. I've been called a fascist, racist, nationalist or any number of "ist" you can think of by my liberal friends. How do I challenge them every time?

    "Define that word for me."

Its not shocking how many can't without taking out their iphone. And they always seem to use the first google link that comes up. Remember the left is about emotion...not fact or knowledge.

Its a word they saw on a FB feed or a sign of some 300 word news story they read. All except racist...this always seems to mean whites hate whomever.

Not just Google. Bing comes up with the same definition as well. The left controls the news media, entertainment and the web. It's a war to control the mind. Any doubt who is winning?

No. Corporations under Mussolini did not "own the government", corporations were not anything like the corporations we know today, they were not only completely subservient to the state, they were created by the state. Seperate companies grouped together by which sector of the economy they resided in. The economy is centrally planned in a fascist state. The state is the be all end all in a fascist system.

This is why, i believe that Fascism is a right wing ideology, and so is communism (as practiced, Marx's version was much closer to anarchy) but i dont believe most Republicans are right wing. I define the left and wing paradigm on how much power the people have vs how much power the state has. Furthest left is anarchy, furthest right is totatalitrianism. This is the traditonal definition of left and right since the french revolution, and it's the definition i hold to be true

Democrats have trust in, and praise for the government at it's very core. Republicans do not, though there are plenty of statist Republicans
