Hello Florida!! That's right I did it still in process of moving, this week was getting kids in private schools, tomorrow housing, and after that office space.

We did it, I can't post ALOT because real busy that's why I have been off for a while... I've had it, we walked away from ALOT of money, professional and social status in our community, to give our sons a fresh start away from cesspool, of liberals, a culture of entitlement, public employees and their unions. The only thing I miss is my family and it has only been a week. Area of Florida is Tampa Bay area. We are here, boys started school and Sunday school already, getting a rental home for a while, then office space, Here's to new beginnings, and wanting something better for our children!!

Congratulations and don't ever look back. I love all sorts of things about California - I can't even imagine raising kids out there.

Doing the right thing by your kids is something all sorts of people talk about but very few take action to accomplish.

Enjoy a grouper sandwich for me sometime soon!

I made the move to Florida from California 10 years ago. The gun laws are better here but there are a lot of North easterners trying to mess things up also.

Plus I never really got used to the bugs, the oppressive heat, jungles instead of forests and its flat as a piece of paper here. Not a hill to be found in the whole state.

Oh, cant forget the inbred whack jobs that infest the place. Give it time and you see what I mean.

Good bye. What city did you live in?

Do you happy-dance yourself into coma on the days like when four Oakland cops got killed?

Bad choice...Texas ALL they way.

When you look at the economy, housing prices and gun laws, should be a no brainer.

Plus if you live inland, no hurricanes. In Florida...ummm

Best wishes and good luck to you and your family in your new, free home, amigo.
Only downside, you could have been a Texan. :cowboy:

Congrats, what city or section of city did you end up with? I remember you were looking at Dunedin and Holiday. I hope you are not in actual Tampa now.

florida is great except for insurance. don't have a heart attack when you switch. Auto will be probably 50-100% higher than in cali and home will be even worse. Be careful it is a no fault state and there are tons of illegals from 90 miles south that love to stop short so they can collect the 10k in personal injury that is required by the state.
