It has a 4" barrel and Pachmyar grips. Used in great shape.
I sold a 6" stainless 686 a few years ago while living in Arizona for 275.00. Not implying anything about price, but if a few more folks pipe up about real world prices, maybe it'll help you.
My 3 cents.
I've seen these going for $325 - $400 used depending on condition. They come with Hogue grips and adjustable sights from the factory. The 686 is an excellent addition to any gun collection.
$325 NIB 9 years ago.
What I paid was pretty much in line with what was posted, $335, shipped, insured and transfer fees all totaled in to the final cost.
I ran a box of 110gr JHP through it just to function test it and it works fine, I didn't have the stuff available to bench it and see how it did at 25 yards, but off hand at 1/2 of an idpa target I shot a group you could cover with your hat. So I am very pleased with it.
Here is a picture I took of it.
Very Nice! If you consider other grips check out the Hogue's that come on the new production models from S&W. They are softer. I have some others with the Pachmyrs and they are also very nice.
Congratulations! ;c ;c
$335. total is a VERY fair price for that gun.
