Im looking into purchasing my first Street Bike or "crotch rocket, and was wondering where some good place to browse online are?

Ive tried carsoup, and had some intresting ones, but nothing to eye catching.

Also, what would be a good beginner bike, in the 500-600cc range? One that is cheap, and reliable.

I found this one, and it caught my eye...

    http://www.carsoup.com/used/detail.asp?usedVehicleID=3049335&searchID=45311958&vehicleTypeID=3&UVViewID=4&Page=1&DealerGroupID=&srt=Make&Fltr=562

Would this be a good bike? If not what would?

    Thanks for the help....

    Try http://www.CycleTrader.com

Supposedly some people are also finding good deals on Craigslist and eBay as well.

That link you're trying to post doesn't take it directly to the bike you want to show us.

I found mine on Craiglist, and I also watched the local classifieds in the newspapers. (I didn't want to travel a great distance, so it ended up taking me a while to find something.)

Check and see if your local new stations have a website. Here in UT KSL.com their classified section has a lot of bikes for sale. I'm seeing better prices there than on Craigslist.

Autotrader magazine in the gas stations also have a lot of bikes.

I remembered when the Seca II came out. It was a good & fun bike back then. Without knowing the true condition, I can't say whether or not the $1500 is a fair price.

As always...Ebay, and search based on how close the seller is to you.

I purchased my KZ 550 from a seller about 120 miles away. It's a great starter bike, and good for around town, but not a hiway cruiser.

It has the red 55mph on the speedo. That tells you how old it is, but it's a great bike.

I got mine from eBay. Also check those cycle and boat trader mini mags that the gas stations have. They are only $1.75 and usually cover three or four states. The ones up here cover WI, MI, and IL.

Otherwise, the usual eBay, Cycletrader, and local ads.
