I'm looking for a bag that can hold 4-8 pistols with mags, ammo, hearing protection, etc.

There a tons on the net but it's hard to pick one of these without seeing it.

If you bought a bag and then realized that you couldn’t live without it, please post some info about it.

If possible, please post a picture and be sure to include the name and model of the bag.

Thanks

Ive got an excellent single pistol bag, holds six extra mags, knives, multitool, etc...but thats obviously not what youre looking for!

cheaperthandirt.com seems to have a pretty good selection.

Got one from CTD about a year ago. I can easily put 4 guns in it, 20ish mags, and 4 5 boxes of ammo, glasses, cleaning rod, small bottle of lube, foam ears, bore light and a few more little things. They don't seem to have them listed on the website anymore. No label or anything on the bag. It is 8in wide, and a pocket on front. 12ish long then a pocket on each side that adds about another 2 in to each size 8 in deep.

There aren't too many 8-gun bags out there. Usually by the time you put 3 or 4 guns with mags, ammo, eye and ear protection, and everything else, the bag is too heavy to carry. CED, Dillon, and Bagmaster all make good range bags.

I use a tool bag from Home Depot. It has a rigid, padded handle, and a shoulder strap. It has pockets inside and out. Plenty of room for what I need, plus you can see it and feel it before buying it, and return it if you don't like it. It is probably also more heavy-duty and cheaper than a dedicated "pistol/range bag."

Shooters Connection bags are pretty much the standard other bags are held to, you'll see more of them at a match than all others combined. I use one as a main bag and a 5.11 bag as an additional bag for Glocks.

I also use a tool bag, works great, and it's inexpensive. Walmart has Stanley tool bags for $15 - $20. A friend of mine uses a Stanley rolling tool chest (made in plastic), which sells for $20 at Walmart, and that thing holds all sorts of stuff. That would hold 8 handguns and all the associated gear, for sure.

I recently switched to a plastic tool box from Home Deport. It was $30 regular price and I picked it up on sale.

Holds:
4 Pistols
Lots of Mags
Glasses
Ear Protection
Tools
Ammo
Lube
Towels
....and is lockable.

Pros:
Lockable, discrete, holds a ton of crap, and is weather proof.
I can also sit on it at the range, or use the top as a work surface.
The lift out tray also works well as a magazine and ammo caddy.

Cons:
It's bigger than I would like.
Some guy the range called me a dork.

I try to hit the range on Thursdays, and while it is ok to bring guns to work, I do not like to advertise it. The tool box looks just like what it is....at tool box with a lock on it and anybody who sees it just thinks I did not want to leave my tools in my truck, while in the office.

here is my .02 I went to Wal-mart and bought a medium size cooler around 9 X 14 I divided the bottom with thin panel covered with cloth into fourths for the guns and Mags. then a drop in tray with that separated into sections for ammo, glasses I use a large clip on the handle and a loop made out of a large zip tie to hang my ear-Muffs with works great for me hope this gives you an idea.

I agree with the MidwayUSA competition bag. I have the compact version and love it. I only take 2-3 handguns to the range when I go and it fits everything I need with plenty of room to spare. Can't beat the price, either.

I use a tactical bag from Sportsman's Guide and it works great, has 1 main pocket with divider and can fit gun cleaning kit, ear muffs and 5 handguns, smaller pockets on outside for gloves, glasses and ear plugs and etc
