What are your suggestions for a good all around powder for .223.
    A powder you can use for a 52gr to a 75gr bullet?
    I have 1/9 twist barrel.

I have been liking Winchester 748. It meters very well for me. I run 26.0grns for my AR's. I also know guys like 26.3grns with it as well. I also have a 1/9 twist, I load 55grn FMJ and 55grn Hornady V-max. I have heard good things about Varget and H335.

^^^ What EL NINO said plus H335. But all the others feed better than Varget.

TAC.... works good for 55g FMJBT's plinking 24.5g, best accuracy 25.6 g... Even better for heavier bullets. Meters like water and doesn't overfill the case.

Varget or 748, depending on your loading process.

You will never go wrong with W748....Tried many different powders over the last twenty years, always come back to 748...

BL-C2, AA2230, Varget. In that order from lightest to heaviest bullets IME/YMMV.

748, TAC, Xtermanator. Varget is fine if your not loading progressive.

I've had very good luck with Tac. I load 25.0gr under a 55gr bullet.

H335. I use it for everything from 40gr on up to 75gr bullets.

H335, H4895, Varget. This one cal. that performs well over a broad spectrum of powders.

Ever notice how people have to compare their favorite powder to Varget? :whistling::supergrin:

If you have issues with it metering, IMR 4320 is a great alternative.

Also had good results with AA2230 with the lighter bullet weights. True ball powder.
